Partner Yoga Workshop

Saturday, June 25th, 2022

2:00-5:00pm

Investment: $49

3 CEUs Available Upon Request

Partner Yoga is an intentional, fun, and revitalizing practice that invites communication and love between the pair. Through specific asanas (poses), the partners are encouraged to go deeper in their yoga both physically and energetically. By connecting two bodies through asana, each individual has the opportunity to better understand themselves and each other on and off the mat. Two of the key principles of partner yoga are communication and safety. Here, participants will learn how to establish both of these key principles in their personal practice and with a partner. You will learn how to not only better communicate with yourself, but with your partner as well. These skills transfer to all aspects of life, as we are in constant interaction with others. That said, Partner Yoga is an inspiring practice that enhances the meaning and depth of our relationships to others and ourselves.

Ilona will lead an exploratory practice that allows the participants to try new variations of the asanas practiced all the time. In this workshop, you will learn how to not only practice partner yoga but guide others in the practice safely as well. RYTs can gain 3 CEUs through YA upon personal request.

A Yin and Yoga Nidra Immersion

Saturday, May 14th

2:00-6:00pm

Investment: $59

Huelya will take you into an intimate exploration of your body through specifically selected Yin style poses followed by an extended Nidra session. Your awareness will expand with each pose reaching its peak in the Nidra part. After Nidra is complete, Huelya will lead an informational session exploring the benefits and history of Yin and Yoga Nidra.

Yin Yoga is a calm, intense, and relaxing practice with long-held poses, usually 2-5 minutes, in as much stillness as your body allows. It consists mostly of passive stretches, and includes some active strengthening poses. The main goal for the physical body is to work the connective tissue – tendons, ligaments, and fascia – and ultimately have a therapeutic effect on the joints. Yin Yoga also works deeply the energetic body by using poses that work certain meridians – the energetic channels in the body.

Nidra is a very deep form of relaxation and awareness expansion, a real treat after the intense Yin yoga practice.

If you only feel called to attend the Yin & Nidra Immersion, feel free to do so. The immersion part ends around 4:30pm, where we will take a break before starting the learning part.

No previous Yoga experience needed, but having taken a Yin Yoga class is recommended.

Chair Yoga Workshop

April 2nd, 2022,

Saturday 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

  • Are you a yoga teacher in search of new modalities to assist your students?
  • Have you thought of using a chair to add intensity to the practice? (Yes, that’s correct: to make some poses more challenging than what they’d be on the mat).
  • Have you thought of designing your own, self-standing chair yoga program?
  • Would you like to empower and help people to practice wherever they are, in the office or at home, when they cannot afford to travel to a studio?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then you might want to consider this event.

We are providing you with the opportunity to learn how to teach chair yoga, and achieve all of the above, and more! Join us for a fun and engaging weekend to earn your chair yoga certification.

Among the topics covered, are:

  • How to chose the right poses when addressing a specific problem;
  • How to adapt conventional poses and flow sequences, from mat to chair;
  • How to use additional props to create new variations, when the chair alone is not enough;
  • How to create a complete practice inclusive of asana, pranayama, and mediation that would fit any time budget, and getting down on a mat is not feasible.

Practice hands on teaching chair yoga.
