Prenatal Yoga is a practice meant not only for soon to be mom’s to work out physical kinks and encourage relaxation; it also has the potential to deepen mom’s connection to her baby. By focusing on intention breath and movement, Prenatal Yoga helps prepare mom not only for the birth of her baby, but for postpartum life as well. These practices learned in Prenatal Yoga are transferred from mom to baby even before the baby is born, so it can be immensely helpful in cultivating a smooth transition into motherhood, and for baby, into life.
In this workshop we will experience and create sequencing that best supports moms to be. We will discuss the energetic body and physical body, and explore what contraindications are and how to modify asanas. We will deepen our practice and teaching through pranayama, meditation, asanas, and learn how to create a supportive class and community.

Partner Yoga is an intentional, fun, and revitalizing practice that invites communication and love between the pair. Through specific asanas (poses), the partners are encouraged to go deeper in their yoga both physically and energetically. By connecting two bodies through asana, each individual has the opportunity to better understand themselves and each other on and off the mat. Two of the key principles of partner yoga are communication and safety. Here, participants will learn how to establish both of these key principles in their personal practice and with a partner. You will learn how to not only better communicate with yourself, but with your partner as well. These skills transfer to all aspects of life, as we are in constant interaction with others. That said, Partner Yoga is an inspiring practice that enhances the meaning and depth of our relationships to others and ourselves.
Ilona will lead an exploratory practice that allows the participants to try new variations of the asanas practiced all the time. In this workshop, you will learn how to not only practice partner yoga but guide others in the practice safely as well. RYTs can gain 3 CEUs through YA upon personal request.
Huelya will take you into an intimate exploration of your body through specifically selected Yin style poses followed by an extended Nidra session. Yin Yoga is a calm, intense, and relaxing practice with long-held poses, usually 2-5 minutes, in as much stillness as your body allows. It consists mostly of passive stretches, and includes some active strengthening poses. The main goal for the physical body is to work the connective tissue – tendons, ligaments, and fascia – and ultimately have a therapeutic effect on the joints. Yin Yoga also works deeply the energetic body by using poses that work certain meridians – the energetic channels in the body.
Nidra is a very deep form of relaxation and awareness expansion, a real treat after the intense Yin yoga practice.
If you only feel called to attend the Yin & Nidra Immersion, feel free to do so. The immersion part ends around 4:30pm, where we will take a break before starting the learning part.
No previous Yoga experience needed, but having taken a Yin Yoga class is recommended.
