Partner Yoga Workshop

Sunday, March 30th 2:30 – 5 p.m.

Qualifies for 3 CE hours

Partner Yoga is an intentional, fun, and revitalizing practice that invites communication and love between the pair. Through specific asanas (poses), the partners are encouraged to go deeper in their yoga both physically and energetically. By connecting two bodies through asana, each individual has the opportunity to better understand themselves and each other on and off the mat. Two of the key principles of partner yoga are communication and safety. Here, participants will learn how to establish both of these key principles in their personal practice and with a partner. You will learn how to not only better communicate with yourself, but with your partner as well. These skills transfer to all aspects of life, as we are in constant interaction with others. That said, Partner Yoga is an inspiring practice that enhances the meaning and depth of our relationships to others and ourselves.

Ilona will lead an exploratory practice that allows the participants to try new variations of the asanas practiced all the time. In this workshop, you will learn how to not only practice partner yoga but guide others in the practice safely as well. RYTs can gain 3 CEUs through YA upon personal request.

Chair Yoga Workshop for Yoga Teachers

October 5, Saturday 2:00 – 5:30 p.m.

  • Are you a yoga teacher in search of new modalities to assist your students?
  • Have you thought of using a chair to add intensity to the practice? (Yes, that’s correct: to make some poses more challenging than what they’d be on the mat).
  • Have you thought of designing your own, self-standing chair yoga program?
  • Would you like to empower and help people to practice wherever they are, in the office or at home, when they cannot afford to travel to a studio?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then you might want to consider this event.

We are providing you with the opportunity to learn how to teach chair yoga, and achieve all of the above, and more! Join us for a fun and engaging weekend to earn your chair yoga certification.

Among the topics covered, are:

  • How to chose the right poses when addressing a specific problem;
  • How to adapt conventional poses and flow sequences, from mat to chair;
  • How to use additional props to create new variations, when the chair alone is not enough;
  • How to create a complete practice inclusive of asana, pranayama, and mediation that would fit any time budget, and getting down on a mat is not feasible.
